Somehow, we survived.

The end of February always feels like... well, not quite a 'relief', exactly, but like I can start to breathe again after four months of holding my breath in constant winter-induced panic mode.

So, yeah, I'm very glad the month itself is over (or, well, it will be, in a dozen hours or so, let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet), even if there's still a bit to go before I relax completely.

As to my monthly writing update... as I mentioned, I finished the one thing I was working on midway through the month, and have been forcing myself to take a breather since then. It's always a fine line, I've found, after finishing a sizeable project, between wanting to leap into the next thing while you still have momentum, and understanding that you really, really need a break. Burnout is not fun, and it is so easy to slide into that if you don't pace yourself.

So, yea. I'd like to start something new -- quite what, I'm still not sure -- once we hit March, but for now I'm taking it easy, unwinding after three straight months of very, very intensive writing and editing, and just trying not to beat myself up too much about the accusatory string of 0s in my GYWO word count spreadsheet for the last week or so.
