Breaks you and loves you at the same damn time.
I'm not sure who decided to spin up the time machine, but with a new season of Scrubs and a new album from the Fray both hitting my harddrive this month, I feel like I'm back in 2006.
It's a nice reprieve from 2026, to be honest.
Not actually checked out Scrubs just yet -- I prefer to wait until things are out in their entirety and then vet them for triggers and the like -- but I've heard good things about it, which is unexpected and lovely in equal measure. If ever there was a time when we needed that specific brand of optimistic cynicism -- cynical optimism? -- it's now.
As to the new Fray album... it's short, it's fun, it's nice and easy on the ears, and it's fuelling all my feelings in all the right ways. Again, unexpected and lovely, and very much needed. I'll be listening to this one on repeat for a while, I think, and if I don't claw out some kind of inspiration from a few of those songs, I'll be very, very surprised.
So, yeah. A couple of little lights in the dark.
